Geisha's eagerly-anticipated new single, title "Sailing" is Now Available for purchase via iTunes.
The song was co-written by Chris Doheny, David Briggs (Little River Band guitarist/producer and mastering wiz!) and Melbourne DJ Steve Strange, and takes Geisha back to the dramatic use of atmospheric keyboards territory whilst still maintaining plenty of "guitar grunt" and, of course, the powerful vocals you love and expect from Chris.
The single is the first release from the forth-coming album "Dysphasia" to be released by Diamond Dog Records later in 2011.
A new Geisha album is in the works, with the first single expected to be released around the start of April.
To coincide with this release, new shows are planned in the coming months, so keep an eye out for these upcoming shows.
Joe Matera Resigns
“I am sad to announce that Joe Matera (Geisha’s guitarist since 2007) has decided to put 100% of his time into his solo career and therefore resign as guitarist from Geisha. He has been a wonderful addition to the band for the past few years and his passion and love of music will be sorely missed. I am however, very excited for him in his new venture and wish him all the best with his solo album. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution to Geisha and also his friendship.”
